Q1, What is CE-LVD certification?

The full name of LVD is Low Voltage Directive,the directive number for LVD is 2014/35/EU,the purpose of this Directive is to ensure that electrical equipment on the market fulfils the requirements providing for a high level of protection of health and safety of persons, and of domestic animals and property, while guaranteeing the functioning of the internal market.

Q2, Which products require mandatory CE-LVD certification?

This Directive shall apply to electrical equipment designed for use with a voltage rating of between 50 and 1000 V for alternating current and between 75 and 1500 V for direct current, other than the equipment and phenomena listed in Annex II.

Alternating currentAC):

Q3, What are the common CE-LVD standards?

IT & AV:EN IEC 62368-1

Light:EN IEC 60598-1,EN IEC 60598-2-XX

House:EN IEC 60335-1,EN IEC 60335-2-XX

Note:

IT:Information technology equipment

AV:Audio and video equipment

XX:Represent numbers, such as EN IEC 60598-2-1 represent testing standards for fixed lighting fixtures, and EN IEC 60335-2-80 represent testing standards for electric fans

Q4, How to check the latest version of the testing standards?

Step 1:Open the website https://standards.cencenelec.eu/dyn/www/f?p=CEN:105::RESET::::

Step 2:  Enter the number as shown in the following figure
